Another 1950s quiz

In a previous musings, I tested your knowledge about top songs in the 1950s.  It seemed to be well received.  So with that thought in mind, I've created a second quiz regarding the 1950s.  This one has to do with news events, both nationally and world-wide.  If you grew up in the 1950s, it's a test to see if you were awake during class when the 1950s weren't taught but lived.  All answers range from 1950 to 1959.  Scroll down to see the answers.  If you like, post your score as a comment to this musing.
